The One Scripturient

Greetings fair reader!

As of the last many months, I have been inactive on this site. That is because I have started a new blog on WordPress, The One Scripturient, where I will be blogging from now on. While I have enjoyed blogging here, I thought it best to give myself a fresh start. So for those of you who still wish to find the content that I write or create, you can do so here: The One Scripturient

I hope you will make your way over to my new realm of varying madness, and I hope that you’ll enjoy what you find there! See you soon! -MC

And Since We Have No Place To Go…..

let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Welcome readers, to the end of November, and the beginning of December.

At the turning of the month, I am both sad and happy.

Sad, because I was unable to complete the NaBloPoMo challenge, due to my spectacular internet, being nothing but a pain in the backside for the last couple of weeks. I now have a backlog of content, which I will be posting over the next little while.

Happy, however, for this coming month is one of my favourites of the year. It is the time, when I can finally embrace the spirit of the holidays, and the beautiful threshold of eternity that is the Canadian winter.

To get things kicked off, you might notice that M.C. Scriptor is snowing. This is a very nice and festive aesthetic brought to you by the wonderful people at WordPress. In addition to that however, I am making some changes and additions to the blog, starting with the rather outdated about page, which I have now re-written. ( http://mcscriptor.com/about/ )

There is plenty to come my friends, and I look forward to being around the blog more this month! See you soon! -M.C. Scripturus

Blogging for a Year

1 year ago today, I started blogging on M.C. Scriptor.

Since then, I’ve learned a lot, and have done a lot. I have learned a few things about myself, and have set new goals for the future.

I’ve been rather absent from the blog over the last month or so, but that should change soon, as I attempt the NaBloPoMo and NaNoWriMo challenges.

I look forward to it! See you soon! -MC

NaPoWriMo: Coming to a close

Salutations readers!

First off, my apologizes for not keeping up with the NaPoWriMo challenge. Though I feel it’s unfortunate I didn’t complete the 30 poem mark, I have a vast multitude of poems I am currently finishing, and plan to post over the next several days.

I’d also like to acknowledge NaPoWriMo itself. National Poetry Writing Month, and the NaPoWriMo challenge, is a wonderful thing, and I would like show my appreciation for it; for drawing many people into the world of poetry writing, along with all the inspiration and fantastic works that have been drawn from that!

Happy NaPoWriMo everybody! Hope to see you soon! -M.C. Scripturus

I’m Baaaaack!

Salutations readers!

As I stated in the title of this post, I’m back!

Sorry about the hiatus, but over the last while, I’ve come up with the some new content, made some changes and re-edited many of the things on mcscriptor! I’ve given the site an overhaul and hope you all enjoy it! I hope to have some new story content up really soon, among other things, see you soon! -M.C. Scripturus

The World Sown

Salutations readers! Due to some minor setbacks I recently experienced with Skye Child, part 5 will unfortunately be delayed a bit longer, I apologize for that.

So in the mean time, I brought something else for you that I had done a while ago; something that I never really do, poetry.

It might actually be one of the few I’ve ever written. Enjoy!

The World Sown

The Silence comes

The wind blows,

And the ash flows on the breeze.

 Come, far from home,

Hand in hand of fingers sewn,

Come, far from home,

The fires burned,

And silence fallen,

 Quiet

Rest o one of courage shown,

One so worn thin,

The sun rises in the sky,

Cast on those

Convinced it died.

Hold on

The fear fades away,

Look to the sky,

And know;

That it’s finally over,

 Breath as the sun,

The rising and the setting.

Think as the water,

Focused, clear, and always moving.

Love as the fires lit,

Intense, roaring, mourning for the once.

But Fear as the ashes blown,

Faded to nothing,

In the rising sun.

Look to the trees,

Where the bird sings to free,

Leaves and song,

Upon the gentle breeze.

Never again, shall the sound die,

Never again, shall we wither away,

Shrouded in our own fear,

Never again, shall there be a million questions,

With no answers to solve them.

Never again, will the inferno burn,

When we have already allowed it to cease,

Never again.

The sun shines, the rain falls,

Reap the peace, of the world sown.

The air filled with merry a laughter,

The forests sing,

For what has found.

The heavens applaud,

The world is found.

Look around, embrace the sound.

Search for the light,

And climb the steps,

To the highest point.

Emerge to the world,

Head held high,

Where we are found

Step outside and remember.

Stand with him,

Maintain it to the end.

For good and for true,

From now forward,

We find the light, and turn from the dark abyss.

We move forward, not back,

 The Past can’t be changed,

Though you can try,

But today it is now,

And you can always change the future.

So reap the peace,

Of the world sown.
